Day 01
Ouarzazate – Zagora – M’Hamid
- Embark on your 3-day desert adventure with a pick-up from your hotel in Ouarzazate at 08:00. The journey takes you through the stunning Draa Valley, stretching 200km and lined with millions of palm trees. You’ll travel along winding roads and some off-road tracks towards Zagora, enjoying breathtaking views along the way.
- Along the route, we’ll make exciting stops including the historic Tamgrout Kasbah, a cultural landmark, where you’ll have the chance to explore its rich history. We’ll also visit The Koran Library, famous for its rare and ancient Quranic manuscripts, and stop by a Pottery Workshop to witness the incredible craftsmanship of the locals.
- Your adventure culminates in M’Hamid, where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch followed by some free time to explore the village before settling in for your desert experience.
Day 02
M’Hamid – Erg Chegaga (Moroccan Desert)
- After breakfast, we depart by 4x4 to visit Ksar Mhamid village in the palm grove, then head towards the large dunes of Chegaga via the sandy track. Our first stop is at the Sacred Oasis, where we take a pause for tea. Afterward, we continue our journey to the Chegaga camp, where we will have lunch.
- In the afternoon, we enjoy a camel ride for an hour through the dunes, witnessing the stunning sunset in the heart of the desert. As evening falls, we return to the camp for dinner and relax under the stars, enjoying the peaceful and enchanting atmosphere of the desert.
Day 03
Erg Chegaga – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Ouarzazate
- Start your day with the tranquil beauty of the desert sunrise. After soaking in the serenity, enjoy a delicious breakfast at the camp.
- Next, embark on a journey across Iriqui Lake, where the vast expanse of the desert landscape envelops you in peace. Our 4×4 jeep will carry you towards Foum Zguid, allowing you to fully appreciate the silence of the desert.
- Afterward, enjoy lunch in the charming Berber village of Taznakht, where you can savor the traditional flavors of the region.
- Continue your adventure with a visit to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This magnificent 16th-century kasbah stands as one of Morocco’s best-preserved and most striking landmarks, famous for its incredible architecture and as the setting for iconic films like Gladiator.
- Conclude the day by returning to Ouarzazate, where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation, cherishing the memories of this unforgettable journey.
