Day 01
Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Draa Valley – M’Hamid (Gateway to the Desert
- Your journey begins in the morning from Marrakech in a private vehicle, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains (2260m), where you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of valleys and traditional Berber villages along the way
- Next, visit Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, renowned for its unique architecture and stunning landscapes. Afterward, enjoy a lunch break in the village, surrounded by ancient kasbahs
- Continue your journey through the Draa Valley, famous for its lush palm oases and impressive kasbahs, while witnessing the changing desert landscapes
- Stop at Tamgroute Kasbah, where you’ll explore the underground kasbah, visit the Quranic library, and learn about the traditional pottery-making techniques that have flourished in the region
- In the evening, arrive at M’Hamid, the gateway to the Sahara Desert, and be warmly welcomed at your desert camp. The day ends with a traditional Moroccan dinner, followed by a peaceful night under the desert sky
Day 02
M’Hamid – Sacred Oasis – Erg Chegaga (Moroccan Desert)
- In the morning, after breakfast, you embark on a camel ride to explore the vast desert landscape
- Continue your adventure in a 4x4 vehicle, crossing 51 km of desert tracks through the Erg, Reg, and Hamada regions
- Stop at the Sacred Oasis to take a break and enjoy lunch in this peaceful desert retreat
- Option to have lunch at Erg Chegaga, surrounded by stunning sand dunes
- In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner and spend the night in a desert camp, sleeping under nomadic tents or under the stars
Day 03
Erg Chegaga – Lake Iriqui – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Marrakech
- In the morning, after breakfast, begin your journey back to Marrakech, passing through Foum Zguid and the historic Paris-Dakar route
- Stop at Lake Iriqui, a dry lakebed, to take in the breathtaking views of the Moroccan desert’s Colorado region
- Continue to Taznakht, a small Berber town known for its carpet-making tradition, where you can enjoy lunch and visit a local workshop to see how Berber carpets are made
- In the afternoon, continue your journey to Marrakech, arriving in the evening
